Voters Guide Article II

 

When one considers participation in the political process in this nation, he needs to look beyond merely voting for a particular candidate. He should look rather at the entire process which includes governing of a people. What do we expect from our public officials? What are the characteristics we should consider as we make such decisions? What kind of nation do we want? What type people will give support to those things we consider important in government? There is so much more at stake than merely voting. We must recognize that our nation will mirror the attitudes of those we elect to office. For example, if we do not wish to support the taking of innocent human life, then we should reject any person who would, in any way, give support to abortion. People are sometimes made to feel guilty if they become one issue voters, but it is often appropriate to become a single issue voter when the issue is so vital to our spiritual heritage. If we want a Christian nation then we should reject any candidate who would believes in or supports evolution because evolution is incompatible with our Christian heritage and brought untold problems upon this nation. Seldom do we, as voters, ever consider one’s position on evolution, but think about the ramifications evolution has had on our spiritual heritage. We must become very discerning of hidden issues. For example, if you should ask any candidate if he supports the taking of innocent human life he most likely would give you an emphatic "No". However, if you should ask them if they support a woman’s right to "free choice", most of today’s presidential candidates would respond in the affirmative. This should not be happening in America.

In Article I we dealt with the question of whether the "born again Christian" is still considered to be a "full fledged" member of our present day society. There is an elitist group in our society who had just as soon that the "born again Christian" would simply disappear or at least "stay in their place", politically speaking. They feel that the "born again Christian" is not open minded enough to participate in the political process or to serve in key positions in government such as federal judges or other key positions.
Such thinking is sheer nonsense and most hypocritical and those who believe in or engage in such political rhetoric are, not only un-American but they are un-Godly and deserve to be the ones sidelined in the political arena in America. The truly "born again Christian" is the only thing holding this nation together and in no way will we step aside and turn this nation over to such a Godless group of heathen renegades who are parading around flaunting their superior intellectual attitudes as though they know what is best for everyone concerned when, in fact, they have little or no understanding of the root cause of today’s problems. This nation has turned its back on Almighty God and therein lies the root cause of the problems facing this nation today. As a result, things will get no better until we repent and turn back to God and if you cannot accept that just sit back and watch it happen. An excellent example of this is given to us by the prophet Ezekiel in Ezekiel 22:29-31 where God gave Ezekiel a prophecy to pass on to the nation of Israel after they went into rebellion against Him.
"…Ezekiel 22:29 - 31 (KJV) 29The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. 30And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. .."

Because Israel refused to repent God had no choice but to bring judgment, although He did not desire to do so as noted in verse thirty.. Ezekiel goes on to tell us the result of their failure to repent.

"…Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD. …"



So it will be with America unless we humble ourselves before Almighty God and recognize Him for who He is and bow before Him in repentance. We simply cannot govern without God’s wisdom and this wisdom must impact the way we vote in America. The following verse tells us what God thinks about man’s knowledge and it is indeed a rather humbling thought.

"…Romans 1:22 - 23 (KJV) 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man…"

I am not so naive that I do not recognize the "hue and cry" for separation of Church and State in America today, but, no matter what the United States Supreme Court or the media of this nation may have to say about the matter, that is not a part of God’s plan for America and to completely ignore Gods Plan is sheer folly. Study the history of Israel and you will find that going against God’s will is foolish. What are all those separatist going to do when Jesus Christ comes back to rule and reign over the governments of the world during the millennium reign. The fact is, they do not comprehend, nor will they ever comprehend, exactly how much of the problem they have become. Granted, some of these arguments may fall upon deaf ears if you do not believe in God or do not accept His Holy word, but, you know what, it really does not matter because God’s word is going to "accomplish that whereunto it has been sent" no matter what you may or may not believe.
Knowledge comes from the human mind but wisdom comes from almighty God and it is a known fact that knowledge without wisdom is a very dangerous thing. Knowledge is a good thing when tempered by the wisdom of almighty God, but knowledge in the absence of Godly wisdom will create a "fool". A "fool" is any man who does foolish things. Any man, no matter how much knowledge he may possess, lacking Godly wisdom will lead this nation astray. That is why God’s word says that "if it is not of faith it is sin."
By definition, unregenerate man is still a part of Satan’s kingdom and shall remain so until he bows the knee before the Lord Jesus Christ, confesses Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and turns from his evil ways. At that point in time, he is supernaturally removed from Satan’s kingdom and once again becomes a part of God’s Kingdom. You see, what most men do not realize is that, following the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, all of mankind came under Satan’s authority immediately. Man had failed to fulfil God’s law and handed his God-given authority over to Satan, after which, he became the god of this worldly system and all of mankind became a part of Satan‘s kingdom immediately and was condemned to death under God‘s law of "absolute justice‘. In order to redeem mankind from this death sentence, Jesus Christ gave up His deity and entered the earth as a man because it was now impossible for any man, who had the blood of Adam flowing through his veins, to fulfill the law, a requirement of man which God never lifted.
Jesus Christ could not come into the earth as a part of the God-head, destroy Satan, forgive man and start over, for such action would have violated God’s previously established word. He had to enter the earth as a man because God had given man authority in the earth and to no other being did He ever give authority, therefore, it was required of man to fulfill God’s absolute law. Through the virgin birth, Jesus Christ bypassed the seed of Adam and came into this earth as a man, therefore, He was not under the Adamic curse, and He had none of Adam’s blood flowing through his veins. He and He alone was now in a position to fulfill God’s law. In scripture He is even called the "second Adam". He told us in His word that He did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill the law as was required of man. God never lifted that requirement, therefore, when Jesus Christ went to the cross and died, He then qualified to become your substitute and mine. Following His death on the cross, Jesus Christ, the man, actually went into hell for three days and three nights to pay for your sins and mine. Because he had not sinned, but "became sin" for you and me, He was raised up victorious over Satan after three days and three nights. At that point Jesus regained the authority which Adam had given over to Satan and almost immediately delegated that authority back to man and told them "to go in His name".
Mankind had now fulfilled God’s Law. When we understand that and accept the pardon Jesus made available to us, then we no longer stand guilty of sin as His perfection becomes ours. At that point in time, we are "born again", born out of Satan’s kingdom into God’s Kingdom, a spiritual re-birth. I realize that there are those who scoff at the idea of being "born again", but you had best be very careful, for without the re-birth you are doomed to eternal damnation. It makes no difference whether you believe it or not, it is going to happen and your unbelief will not change God’s plan. Then and only then are we able to become partakers of God’s wisdom and, from that point forward, all of our deeds are done in the name of Jesus Christ, rather than in the name of Satan. No matter what deeds you perform, as an unregenerate man, even if they appear to be "good" from man’s point of view, they are evil from God’s point of view because you are still a part of Satan’s kingdom. Your every deed, while still a part of Satan’s kingdom, is done in the "Name of Satan" and is considered sin from God’s point of view. As a result, man will never be able to govern with wisdom while living outside of God’s will. This is why I conclude that the "Christians" in America are responsible for holding this nation together and all non Christians, no exceptions, are a part of the problem. For that statement I shall not apologize. This is not meant to be arrogance, it is simply truth according to God’s word. I understand that this idea is hard to accept but I am willing to bet my eternal life on this biblical truth. Think about it. This nation is facing multiple problems to which we can find no answers. It has not always been so, but, as this nation moves more and more into rebellion against Almighty God, our problems will only grow worse and the answers from our intellectual elite, more often than not, serve only to exasperate bad situations.
Consider many of the answers coming from our illustrious Supreme Court, the Nancy Pelosi’s, the Harry Reeds, the Ted Kennedy’s, the Barney Frank’s, the Al Gore’s, the John Kerry’s or other left wing liberals of America and perhaps even some on right; are they providing solutions to resolve America’s problems? Absolutely not! Many such answers, coming from these so called intellectuals elitist, serve only to intensify our problems. I would like to hear one single solution that these types of people have come up with which has resolved any problem in this nation. All of those so called intellectual elitist, relying entirely on man’s knowledge and rejecting God’s wisdom are bringing this nation down. The only thing keeping these people in check is the born again Christian. How long can they hold this nation in check without getting more involved in the political arena?
I was a professional educator, a rather successful one I might add, by man‘s standards, although I have since retired and repented. I truly believed that the answers to man’s problems were directly related to the kind of educational programs we offered our students. Sadly, as my career progressed through some thirty odd years, I was forced to acknowledge that, while our educational expenditures have skyrocketed and the programs we believed in were greatly improved, not only did the nation’s problems grow worse, but our educational system failed.
Public education has been a gigantic failure largely because we have come to rely more upon man’s knowledge than God’s wisdom. One specific example will give support to my current view. Public education has taught and continues to teach the "lie of evolution" the results of which turned our schools into humanist institutions, teaching our children that there is no God, therefore public education has lost its right to teach this nation’s youth. It has become an anti-Godly institution. There has to be another answer and that is found in God’s word. We must turn back to God’s wisdom rather than depending upon man’s knowledge. Sadly, we have refused to acknowledge our error and are moving headlong toward destruction. America cannot and will not long stand until or unless she repents before almighty God and begins to seek His wisdom rather than relying upon man’s knowledge.
Are there any signs that this nation is turning back to God? Absolutely not! Our left wing liberals, aided by a left-wing media, are fighting to remove God from every segment of our society and sadly few in the center or even on the right understand the root cause of our problems. We know that, through Bible Prophecy, the wicked will wax more wickedly and that Satan will have his day just before God takes him down. Sadly, many souls will go down with Satan when they do not have to do so because Jesus Christ has provided an alternative. It is God’s wisdom vs. man’s knowledge. Which are we going to accept? Your eternal destiny depends upon your choice and the destiny of America likewise depends, upon our choices.
Just keep in mind that any attempt to govern without God’s wisdom is sheer folly! Man’s knowledge, in the absence of Godly wisdom, will be "weighed in the balance" and found wanting.
