In my previous article (Article II) I discussed
some of the issues which should be taken into consideration as we
prepare to cast our votes either in the primaries or the general
elections. I
also pointed out that there was much more to elections than merely
casting a vote for any given candidate. When we begin to think
about elections, we are in the beginning stages of making decisions
that will serve as guides for the governing of a people. As
we consider issues as important as this we must conclude that the
decisions we make will impact every individual in our society.
Consider
the fact that we have laws or regulations made at every level of government
including the municipal level, the county level, the state level, and
the national level. This does not include the innumerable institution,
corporations, organizations etc. which generate rules and regulations
to control their respective entities, controls which impact upon the
people of this nation. These governing entities have been making
these laws, rules and regulations since the beginning of their respective
existence. Most of these rules, laws, and/or regulations put
into operation over the past two hundred years or so are restrictive
in nature, designed to limit the freedoms of our people. Granted
many such rules, laws and/or regulations are needed to maintain an
orderly society but far too many are designed to protect the interests
of certain groups and/or organizations. Rather than sitting around
trying to dream up some new rule, law and/or regulation to put into
operation, our legislative organizations would do well to spend some
time and effort toward lifting some of the restrictions they have placed
upon our people. For example, a local municipality recently constructed
an exceptionally nice farmer’s market within their city limits. Soon
thereafter they passed another law restricting people from selling
their products on the streets of that municipality. Farmers had
been selling their products in that city for many years. Whose
interest do you do you think they may have been trying to protect? A
minor point perhaps, but when you multiply that by every municipality
in the nation it becomes much more than a “minor issue“.
Let
me give you another example of such restrictive laws. Building
codes set forth by local municipalities, counties, states, as well
as your national or even international entities have become so complex
that they have just about put the “little man” out of business. More
often than not your large construction companies lobby their respective
legislative bodies to pile on such restrictions in an effort to reduce
the competition or to drive their competition out of business. They
claim that they are simply trying to protect the people but do we need “big
brother” to regulate every facet of our lives. I have seen
this happen. Bankers lobby their legislative delegations to get
laws passed which will help the banking industry but so often the customers
of the banking industry are the losers. Our legislators are
elected by the people and their responsibility is to look out for
the interest of the people, but all too often they look out for those
who are going to pay big bucks into their campaign coffers.
Imminent
Domain, another great example of government’s attempt to “protect
the interest of the people” by denying citizens a most sacred
right, but the people do not desire this kind of protection. They
cannot stand much more of that kind of protection. The United
States Supreme Court, sworn to uphold the Constitution, has obliterated
the U. S. Constitution in this instance and are looking out for the
interest of these governmental agencies who want to take over people’s
property for their own selfish reasons rather than protecting the interest
of the American people. This list could go on endlessly.
There
is a temptation for men to vote on the issues or the individuals in
a way that will protect their own selfish interest and so often do
not stop to consider the impact others. That is one of the
reasons we Americans find ourselves in a constant struggle for our
very existence as a free nation.
Well
in advance of actually voting, we must keep these kinds of things in
mind and likewise determine, within our own mind, the kind of nation
we want and what it will require to achieve that kind of nation. For
example, do we desire a secular nation, a religious nation, a theocratic
nation or perhaps even a Christian Nation? Many countries have
opted for a secular nation and, at first glance, it may appear that
such choice is preferable. We have seen many religious governments
that have been very oppressive over their people, governments who hold
their people in bondage and exercise unhealthy controls over them. As
a result we become very fearful of religiously controlled governments
and often want no part of them. But, we have also known of secular
governments who have held their people in terrified bondage and with
iron clad control over their every movement. We have seen people
under secularly controlled governments with little or no individual
freedom. Therefore, our thinking must move beyond those options.
Let’s
look back to a government with which we are most familiar, that of
our own nation. America has been the bedrock of freedom. Few
if any nation in the world has ever given to its people a kinder
government, a more gentle government, a more compassionate government,
a more open government, a more fair government or a more free government,
but we stand on the threshold of losing these freedoms because we
have not taken these freedoms seriously enough.
To
become an American citizen has been the dream of many people around
the world. When America was founded, it was founded by a people
who desired the freedom to “worship” the true and the Living
God. The first settlers in America came primarily for the purpose
of worshiping God. Did our government evolve from a religious
background? No!
Please
take note, America was founded upon Christian Principles, not upon
religious principles and there is a big difference. As I move
through this series of articles I will Endeavour to make that distinction. The
primary reason people came to America, initially, was for the right
to worship the true and the living God without interference of government. One
of the overriding principles of our Constitution was that Americans
would be free to worship as they pleased. America’s Constitution
did not require that one worship God, and rightfully so, but it did
require that one have that right. To be more specific, it was
guaranteed under the first amendment of the Constitution.
“Congress shall
make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting
the free exercise thereof; …“
Our
fore-fathers and, the Constitution they wrote, brought forth upon
this earth, perhaps, the greatest nation of all times and this Constitution was
based upon Christian principles taken directly from God’s word,
not religious principles. The basis for our laws came directly
from the Ten Commandments, but today, thanks to our Supreme Court,
it has become illegal to display the Ten Commandments in our public
schools or other public places. I have often said, “tongue
and cheek” that we had better not let the Supreme Court know
this because they may declare the Constitution un-constitutional. Denying
Americans the right to display the Ten Commandments in any place of
our choice is in violation of the First Amendment. I care not
how the Supreme Court has rationalized away this most sacred and basic
right, but it has been an outright attack upon our Constitution. The
courts in America today have riddled our Constitution and rendered
it ineffective.
The
Constitution served this nation exceptionally well as this nation evolved
into one of the greatest and most desirous nations on earth. However,
when unregenerate man started to tamper with this God-inspired document
turned its back on Almighty God, lost its direction, and moved to become
a secular nation America started on its decline, perhaps never to recover. Today
our cherished heritage is in serious jeopardy. It has grown so wickedly
that we are, even now, under the judgment of Almighty God. Who
or what is responsible for this lost direction? There is much
blame, enough to go around. The U. S. Supreme Court was given
the responsibility of protecting this great document but who put the
Supreme Court in place? Who put the people in place, which put
the Supreme Court in place? It was the “voter”. We,
the people, allowed it to happen. We, the people, did not hold
our public officials accountable and I fear today that We, the people,
have no one to blame but ourselves. Because we have permitted
it the Supreme Court and all its affiliates and supporters has seized
control in this nation and there is no stopping them unless we, the
people, make a stand for Almighty God. It is our only hope. Without
Almighty God all of our efforts are in vain.
Once
this trend started it grew worse. The Supreme Court
has actually ruled that it is legal to take innocent human life simply
at the mother’s whim. This is wrong and every straight
thinking person alive knows it, yet we allow it to continue. Not
only did this colossal “sin” violate the “Law of
The Land” it directly violated the Law of the True and the
Living God and we simply do not violate God‘s law without serious
consequences. God will hold America responsible! This holocaust
has, without a doubt, brought and will continue to bring the wrath
of God down upon this nation and so will it be with any individual
alive who does not take a stand against it. We must stop this slaughter
of innocent children. Any man who dares to stand up and support
this taking of innocent human life, short of repentance, will stand
before the True and the Living God at the Great White Throne Judgment,
with the blood of children dripping from their hands, and give an
account. If you are a supporting member of a political party
who condones abortion, then you will stand guilty before Almighty
God and give an account.
Also
the U.S. Supreme Court moved, in violation, of the Constitution and
established the concept known today as “Separation of Church
and State”, a move which further violated the First
Amendment of the Constitution and it violated the Law of The True
and The Living God. It made no difference that it was in direct
violation of the First Amendment. Because they were now on a roll
to create a Secular Nation in America but first they have to remove
God from of our society and they are well on their way to achieving
that goal. The Godless ACLU is leading the charge with the
support of many individuals, institutions and even some churches. Our
public schools, under the leadership of the National Education Association,
is playing a large role in this movement and is, in fact, moving
our public schools into the humanist movement, teaching our children
that there is no God. Those responsible shall likewise stand
before Almighty God and give an account for their actions.
Keep
in mind that it was not the U. S. Supreme Court alone who brought about
these changes, but all of America allowed it to happen. In many
instances they brought about these changes with the approval of the
Church. We, the people, elected ungodly men to key positions
in government, who in turn put these ungodly men into key positions
and today they have almost succeeded in stripping Americans of a
basic, God-given right to worship as we please which was initially
guaranteed under the Constitution by our fore fathers. It
is your vote that is allowing such carnage to continue and you will
not stand innocently before Almighty God. We can change things
but I am fearful that we will not!
