We have a Presidential race coming up soon.  This is perhaps the single most important presidential race ever to be held, for our cultural heritage is indeed at risk.  The very foundation of this nation is teetering on the brink.  Our Christian heritage is in danger of being ripped from us, not by some foreign power, but by our very own government and along with that goes our long cherished freedoms, the very foundation upon which America was founded, developed and sustained.

America must understand, that this is not only going to affect Christians but it will destroy the very foundation of this once great nation as the freedom of every living American is under fire.  If one is “naive” enough to believe that because he may not be a “born again Christian" he will not be affected he had better think again because his freedoms are every bit as much at risk as are the freedoms of the "born again Christian". 

When the very heart of America is destroyed it will take all of us down, do not ever doubt it.  America is even now in a spiritual free fall and if we allow it to continue this nation is a doomed nation and will go the way of the  Roman Empire.  It was not just the corruption in government   that brought down the Roman Empire it was the moral decadence of the entire society, not unlike America is facing today.  We probably cannot or should not attempt to lay the blame of America’s troubles up on any one or two entities, for there are many people and institutions who are responsible. However, I would certainly hate to have been numbered among  the members of the United States Supreme Court, the U. S. Senate, the U. S House of Representatives and we dare not exclude former Presidents of the United States because these guys either permitted or perhaps even spearheaded this moral free fall in America.  Their actions or in- actions  have almost destroyed the spiritual heritage that our fore fathers gave to us.  They  either brought or allowed the “scourge of abortion” to come upon America and they will, one day, move  out of “time” into “eternity”.  There is no doubt but those responsible will then stand before the God of the universe and face their maker and their excuses will be indefensible!  Of course, there are those who shall be numbered among these same groups who have stood firm in defense our spiritual heritage and will stand innocent before the God of the universe, but I fear for the majority of these individuals for they had the authority within their grasp to have prevented this moral free fall which has been sanctioned by our government and they failed to make a stand for “right”!

Are these national leaders the only ones who have cause for concern?  Absolutely not! We the voters put them into the positions which made it possible for them to carry out their agenda and we will surely answer for the part we may have played in the demise of our spiritual heritage. Some may venture to say that even if we made mistakes we have achieved many good things for America. All of the “good deeds” they have ever performed, no matter how morally “good” they may appear to be, cannot and will not wipe that blood from their hands.  There is nothing that will remove their guilt save the blood of Jesus Christ which He shed for all of mankind and when they step out of time into eternity their eternal destiny shall be forever sealed.  If you are a part of that group you had best start seeking the truth from the Word of God.  Thank God, your hands can be cleansed, not by your good deeds, but by the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ.  Your only hope can be found in God’s word and if you do not care enough to search for this truth, then you shall have no hope, no hope!

This brings me back to our responsibility as a voter. Every voter in America has an obligation to find out how the candidates for which you plan to support stand on the issues and you had better not take this responsibility lightly lest you share in their fate.  If you choose to vote for those who will continue to lead this nation in this downward free fall spiritually and you make no attempt to determine where they stand on these issues, you just may find yourself standing before Almighty God in the day of judgment with no Hope!  Now the decision is yours to make; Make it thoughtfully and prayerfully! 

You will never be able to stand before God and say, “I was never told the truth. You have God’s Word and you can know the truth but if you choose not to study that word and ignore God’s truths, then you shall likewise be held accountable.  If you read this article, then you will have been warned!  The decision is now yours to make and you shall indeed make such a decision! You will either make a decision to do something about this or you will ignore it, either way you will have made a deliberate decision and you will be held accountable for your decision.  I do not, should not and will not tell you how to vote!  You already know in your heart what you should do!  Just do it!

If you know that a given candidate favors the taking of innocent human life through abortion and you choose to support him/her anyway then you shall share in that persons sin and will likewise stand guilty before God.  If you know that a given candidate believes in evolution and you support him/her in spite of that knowledge you will be held accountable. 

Many of you may say, “I just do not accept what you are saying.” That is well and good and ironically you have a God given right to, not believe, but you can rest assured that such ignorance or apathy is not going to change God’s word or His judgment one iota.  Short of repentance, you will stand guilty before Him in that day and  possibly face eternal damnation even if you are a United States Senator, a United States Congressman, a Supreme Court Justice who continues to support the taking of an innocent human life, the President of United States who disregards God’s word, a minister of the Gospel who fails to make a stand on such issues or merely a voter who believed that it was only the economy which was important and failed to determine exactly where the candidates may have stood on these important issues.  When you, the voter,  vote for and support these types of people you shall indeed share in their sin and you will answer for your actions before the God of the universe.  God is not going to violate his previously established word even should the entire human race perish.  Our God is a God of absolutes.  His word stands forever and under no circumstances will He ever violate his established word.  If He said it two thousand years ago rest assured that it will stand forever.

We as a nation stand at the threshold of disaster without a clue as to what is going wrong in this nation.  Far too many voters support candidates without any regard as to where they stand on these types of issues and the sad thing is they are going to be held responsible as surely as the candidates will be held responsible for their stands on these issues.

They scoff at His word. They desecrate and smear his name across the silver screen in almost every theater in America. They try to see how many expletives they can squeeze into their conversations thinking that it makes them tough when in reality it only makes them “jerks”. They require our schools to teach the “lie of evolution” and teachers dare not mention the possibility of the creation, effectively teaching our children every day of their public school life that there is no God.  They advertise pure filth through “sex-related” advertisement using descriptive words for which they should be ashamed. This unadulterated filth is beamed into millions of homes across America and around the world and we show no shame.  It matters not with them that young teens and even small children hear this “ garbage” day in and day out. A former, U. S. Senator and a reputable  presidential candidate actually participated in this shameful advertisement over the air waves at one time. They permit vile rap artist to spew forth pure venom that is absorbed into millions of young minds throughout this nation and the world and they call it free speech. They permit “sic” video games which are filled with nudity and violence to be produced and placed in the hands of mere children. Vile unadulterated sex acts are beamed into every home in America and when challenged, they smugly tell us that we do not have to watch it or they put it on the air in the late hours thinking that makes everything fine but it does not.  This represents a “sic” society and our national leaders lack the fortitude to “step up to the plate” and challenge this filth because they fear a dishonest, out of control media which gives support under the guise of “free press”.    If we are not careful this so called free press, along with our illustrious Supreme Court and all the lesser courts and other members of our  national government (always with exceptions, of course) are going to obliterate the very foundation of  America’s freedoms. in fact, they may have already succeeded.   

The homosexual agenda is invading every facet of our lives including our public schools and if anyone dares to raise a voice in opposition they scream “homophobia” in an attempt to silence any opposition and our legislators, with few exceptions, run for cover. I fear that we as a nation have completely ignored what God has said about this sin, thereby placing our own ideas above Almighty God.  What arrogance.  This vile corruption is often sanctioned by our Supreme Court if not, in some instances, promoted by them.  They sit back smugly in their robes and call it “the law of the land” but we need to remember that God’s Law is the only Supreme Law in existence and just as “National Law” takes precedence over “State Law” so God’s Law takes precedence over all other law and we had best not forget that.  Many of our modern day laws or the interpretation of our laws, thanks to our Judicial System, are in direct violation of the U. S. Constitution and of God’s Law. That is the reason America is in big trouble today!  If you cannot accept that just keep moving in the direction that we are going and the America that we have known will cease to exist thanks to our government and to “we the people” or the voter, after all, we are the Government and we, the voter, shall share the responsibility!

But, when all is said and done, remember the Blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse each of us and we can all be set free from all of this vile and make us “whiter than snow”, but we must humble ourselves before Him and repent!  That is the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His forgiveness knows no boundaries and it is available to all who will call upon His Name.   God’s word teaches very plainly that Jesus Christ is the “only way” and you can forget about all these other so called “Peaceful Religions” outside Christianity that we keep hearing about from the leadership today, for they will not save America. Our only and last best hope is Almighty God through His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. The decision is ours to make.  Make it well, for we will live with our decisions for an eternity!
