Some Special Moments

sent to our volunteers

This needs to make headline news...not some of the other junk that makes the news these days!!!
Like the Rosie/Donald war of words...celeb weddings...who' s not wearing undies...e t c.

It's a tough, but heartwarming story...with a picture of John Gebhardt in Iraq .

A picture is worth a thousand words
John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed.  The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head...but they failed to kill her.  She was cared for in John's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan.  The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing.

He is a real Star of the war, and represents what America is trying to do.

This, my friends, is worth sharing with the WORLD!  Go for it!!   You'll never see things like this in the news. (We need to tell the public about these special moments)  Nothing will happen if you don't, but the American public needs to see pictures like this and needs to realize that what we're doing over there is making a difference.  Even if it is just one little girl at a time.

As I reflect on this photograph, I see once again that not all the brave leave the "home of the brave" to enter battle; some are required now to be the brave of the home

It is said a picture is worth a thousand words but it leaves me speechless and tears in my eyes.

We must remember that God is still in control.

praying soldier
Please remember to pray for those deployed and their families.

We have a long list of good friends whose husbands are deploying

to Iraq next month. One of the wives sent me this. We feel compelled

to send it on. Your prayers are deeply appreciated. These guys

deserve our love, our hugs and most powerfully, our prayers.

Prayer Request:

I understand that life in Iraq is very difficult to bear right now. Our troops need our prayers for strength, endurance and safety. Please pray for these special Men and Women daily

If you should need some help with a prayer here is one

"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."

Please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops around the world.
Please -- of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine deployed in harm's way, prayer is the very best!!!
