You truly can be 100% sure
that when you die
you will go to Heaven and spend eternity with Jesus Christ!!!
What
must I do to be Saved
Salvation truly
is simple Salvation
is painless! Salvation
is a free gift from God!!!
Anyone can have it if they just
reach out and take it. There are many free
things in the world but they are not yours until
you reach out and TAKE them. For this gift
there are some things that you must believe
first. You must believe in God. You must
believe that first, there is a God, and second, that
He created all things just as the Bible says He did. If
you do not believe in God then you can stop reading
right here because there nothing written below this
line that will help you at this point. Your
heart must be right before salvation can be received. Salvation
comes by 'heart knowledge" and not by "head
knowledge". If however you would like
to know more about God then just click
here. If you already believe
in God then you are on the right path and you should
keep reading. You must also believe in Jesus,
the right Jesus actually. You have to believe
in Jesus Christ, the ONLYbegotten Son
of God. Some religions actually teach about
a different Jesus. If you want to know more
about that then click
here. You must believe in
the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit taught about throughout
the New Testament. It is the Holy Spirit that
comes into the heart of a new believer and remains
there forever (salvation is eternal, you cannot loose
it like a set of keys or a wrist watch). The
Holy Spirit that convicts us when we do wrong. Now,
if You believe that God is, if you believe in the
Holy Spirit, and in Jesus the only begotten Son of
God, (also known as the Holy Trinity), the last thing
you need to believe in is God's Word, the Bible. So,
if you believe in God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and
in the Bible, then you have the right ideas and the
right heart, and you are almost there.
Next we will go down the road
to salvation, also called the Romans Road (because
the scriptures used are mostly from the New Testament
book of Romans).
God tells us in I
John 5:13 "These things have I written
unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God;
that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that
ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." God
is telling us here that if we believe in Jesus, that
we can KNOW without any doubt
what- so-ever that we can have eternal life with Him
through our belief in Him. That means we can be
100% sure, there need not be any doubt at all.
When, Where, and How do I
begin to receive God's salvation? There are a few things you need to know
and
understand right from the start.
First, you must all realize and admit that
you are a sinner. We ALL are
sinners. How many banks do you have to rob to be a bank
robber? One. How may people do
you have to kill to be called a murderer? One. How
many lies to you have to tell to be a liar?
That's right, one. How many sins do
you have to commit to be a sinner? Now you are getting
it, just one. At one time in our lives
we have sinned, each and every one of us. We have all
told a lie, or taken something that did not belong to us, or
lusted after someone of the opposite sex. Romans
3:23 says "For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" This
verse leaves no doubt that we have all sinned at one time or
another in our life and that we are all in need of a savior. That
is why Jesus walked among us and sacrificed his life, so that
we can be saved.
Too often we set our standards of right and
wrong by the society that we live in. As you can see
those standards can differ from country to country but Gods
standards remain the same for all His people, based on His
holiness. The Bible
tells us that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. It
says the exact same thing about Jesus. We might like
to think that things, or standards, need to change with the
times but the truth is, they do not. God's laws are God's
laws and they are the same today as they were 200 or 3000 years
ago. We have rebelled against Him as a race (meaning
the human race) and as individuals. We put our own wants
and desires before God's. That choice has brought its
consequences and will bring it's judgments as well.
Romans 3:10 tells us that there is not a single
person on earth that is righteous - "As it is written,
There is none righteous, no, not one:" Nobody
is righteous in God's sight, we all fall short of the mark. Another
verse in the Bible tells us that our righteousness is as filthy
rags before God. That means that there is NOTHING and
I mean NOTHING we can do ourselves to be righteous before God,
Our best attempts still do not make the grade. We need
help to be able to stand in righteousness before God.
Next, we need to realize that there is a price
for that sin. Romans 6:23a - "For
the wages of sin is death;" Sin does have
a price and that price is death, eternal separation from God. This
is not the physical death that we must all one day face. This
death is spiritual death, or eternal separation from God. We
ALL will live for eternity, that is how God designed us. The
spirit and soul that lives within our fleshy bodies was created
to live forever, and will live forever. The difference
here is that one way will lead to eternal peace and the other
to eternal death in the fiery pits of hell, and yes, hell IS
a real place. Hell was made for Satan and the angels
that rebelled with him. To continue a life of sin is
to deny the salvation Jesus died for to bring us.
The Bible compares sin to a cruel slave master. There is no
mercy in suffering, no freedom from bondage, no lasting joy,
no hope for the future. But most frightening is the final consequence
of sin. The Bible warns that without God’s salvation,
death is the doorway to eternal punishment (Hebrews
9:27). Eternal death. Eternal suffering. Eternal
torment.
Hebrews 2:3 - It is from this that we need
to be saved. From our own sin. From its bondage. From its consequences. "How
shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?". God
offers this salvation freely to anyone and everyone that would
just reach out and take it.
Revelation 20:15 - "And whosoever
was not found written in the book of life was cast into the
lake of fire." If your name is not found in
the Book of Life you can not enter
Heaven.
We must then know that Jesus Christ paid that price for us
when He died on the cross. Romans 6:23b - "but
the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Jesus
Christ suffered and died so that you would not have to. He
paid the price for YOUR sin and MY sin. Anyone's sin
that will just accept Him.
God is Holy. God is love. His holiness demands
that our sin be punished infinitely. His love provides
a way for us to be saved from this punishment. How is this
possible? Another was willing to suffer what we deserve. Our
substitute had to be a sinless man, able to suffer the infinite
anger of God against our sin. The only one able to take our
place was God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. He
willingly and lovingly paid the price for our sins.
God loves us so perfectly that He brought His ONLY begotten
Son into this world so that He could pay the price for ALL
mans sins. John 3:16 - "For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life." Change the whosoever there
to your name. You ARE whosoever and so am I. Anyone
and everyone that wants it can have it, can be that whosoever.
Romans 10:9 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." You
must confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. You
must believe in your heart that Jesus paid the price for YOUR
sins, thus guaranteeing your salvation. It does not say
here that you may be saves, or you can be saved or you might
be saved. It says you WILL be
saved. No doubt whatsoever.
Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved." Whosoever
means YOU. Again you should put your name where it
says whosoever. Jesus Christ died on the cross for
you and me. He paid the price for our sins so that
we could have eternal salvation with Him. All you
need do is call on His name. It's that simple. Jesus
did all of the hard stuff for us. Jesus suffered
39 lashes with a whip for us, and not just a whip. A
whip with sharp rocks, broken glass and sharp bits of metal
tied into its strands. A whip designed not simply
to beat the flesh, but to rip and shred the flesh. To
tear it out chunk by bloody chunk. Jesus suffered
persecution for us. The Roman guards spit in His
face and pulled out the hairs of His beard. They
mocked Him and taunted Him. Jesus suffered great
persecution and ridicule for each and every of us. Jesus
suffered torment that He knew we could not bear. Jesus
suffered severe pain for all of us. Jesus hung on
the cross for ALL OF US! Jesus DIED for us so that
we would not have to suffer and die in eternal condemnation
for our sins.
Are you ready to accept your free gift? Are
you ready to accept Jesus Christ? Are you ready to
believe on the only begotten Son of God? If you are
ready to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour
then just pray this simple prayer in your heart and with
your mouth. Admit to God that you are a sinner in
need of a Saviour and that you accept His Son, Jesus Christ,
as that Saviour. The Lord promises that He will be
faithful and hear you and answer your prayer.
Dear Jesus - I know that I am a sinner
in need of a Saviour and I ask You now to forgive me of
my sins. I thank you Jesus for suffering and paying
the price for my sins. I ask you Jesus to come into
my heart forever. I trust in You today Jesus to takeme to Heaven when I die. I thank You Lord Jesus
for saving me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
